- Delete your WhatsApp account.
- Open the Settings menu.
- Go to Account.
- Then Delete the Account.
- Tap the International option under the Phone number.
- If it is already selected.
- Select a reason for deleting your account from the dropdown menu.
- Finally, tap DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm your decision.
When you change your phone number, all of your previous conversations are erased. It will also remove the account connected with your former phone number, so your contacts will no longer be able to view it in their WhatsApp contact list.
It is not possible to deactivate WhatsApp on a different device. If you backed up your phone using Google Drive, iCloud, or OneDrive before it went missing, you might be able to retrieve your chat history.
